Renovating & decorating projects shouldn’t be topping my list of priorities right now but they are. Perhaps if I make a list I’ll get it out of my system and be able to focus on more pressing matters.
Master Bedroom To Do:
- Install bedside lights
Which we own & are currently sitting in boxes in the box room - Install overhead light
We’re currently rocking the ‘bare bulb’ look. It’s pretty klassy. - Finish the secret project
About 3/4 done but the supplies are still completely strewn about the bedroom. - Finalize a duvet
I recently came home with a duvet that’s might just be a possibility. After all this indecision, I’m ready to be done. And if this doesn’t work, it’s back to the Bettina. - Finishing touches
Things like pillowcases & blanket for a punch of color on the bed. Photos/art for the one nook above the tall dresser. - Clean
Somehow the supplies for all these little projects end up cluttering up the tops of the mantel & dressers or littered about the floor. I’m currently ignoring the dust bunny colony that’s taken up residence in the corner. I can’t take ‘after’ photos with that all about!
The end is SOCLOSE. So close. And I have so much non-house stuff to do. Bah!
Maybe this weekend. Hopefully this weekend. If I can get it all done by end of day Saturday, I could take pictures during daylight hours Sunday. Oh that would be awesome. I’m gonna try folks; I’m gonna try.
Do you have trouble prioritizing and balancing what you should be doing with what you’d rather be doing? {House stuff is so much more fun than schoolwork.} I can’t be the only one juggling a massive to do list. Right??
I’m personally excited for the secret project. Your diamond tufted headboard alone should grant you 3 months off of home projects. But those are kind of the most fun to-dos.
Snort. I’m supposed to be working right now. 😉 Worst employee ever. But I do somehow get my work done. I just have a bad tendency to get distracted….
You are totally not alone – I find that it’s a form of procrastination for me, though. It’s not necessarily that I’m dying to tackle my home projects, they’re just more appealing than my work projects at the moment. (Ok, there are a few I’d be dying to tackle if I had the supplies and/or money.)
Nope, you’re definitely not alone. Even the “simple” and “easy” projects take longer than I think they will (or I’m just overly ambitious in the first place). You’ve done a lot of great work already so don’t think you haven’t done enough. Remember, this is supposed to be fun! Enjoy the process!
Can’t we get a HINT to the secret project? PUHlease??
Cutest grand-dog ever. Just wish he got along with his Uncle Luke…
