Have you ever felt like you’ve gotten caught in a tornado and are just whirling around and around? Everything’s moving so fast; you’re just trying to keep up?
Between my day job, graduate capstone project, activities for the board of directors I sit on, social commitments, and the house stuff, I’m spinning. Dirty dishes are piling up in the sink because we haven’t had time to empty the dishwasher of clean ones. Clean clothes are sitting in IKEA bags instead of hanging neatly in our closet. I’d love to call a time-out but unfortunately that’s not an option.
This weekend was chock-full of non-house related activities. While they were wonderfully fun, we rolled right into Monday morning without much preparation or sleep. I’ve yawned 27 times since starting this post.
We’ll get back to my Headboard How To, I promise. It might not be this week, or maybe it will. If I was truly on top of things, I’d have a list of posts waiting in the wings to be scheduled. I don’t. {Please refer paragraph 1 about the ‘whirling’.}
There are projects in various stages of ‘doneness’ though! So that’s cool. I’d rather blog about DIY things than do a literature review performance measurement any day of the week. unfortunately, no one’s giving me a grade for my DIY projects. Perhaps this weekend we can catch up.
In completely unrelated news, Rob bought a Yo Gabba Gabba DJ Lance Rock hat from kids.woot.com.
Why? Well, I suppose the answer is as simple as, ‘why not?’ And for any new readers out there, no we don’t have children, nor are we expecting any. Please tell me we’re not the only two non-parents who dig Yo Gabba Gabba.
I feel the same way. About the tornado, not Yo Gabba Gabba. You’re on your own there. 🙂
Turn around, touch the ground, go boing!
First Barney, then TelaTubbies now “DJ Lance”. Somebody buy that guy a meal please…
Yesss! That Yo Gabba Gabba hat rocks!!
nd I totally hear you about there not being enough time in the day. I feel myself slowly falling farther and farther behind and wondering whatever happened to wonderful summer vacations when I had 3 months off. Maybe I need to move to Europe…

I’m right there with you – full time job, graduate capstone project (that I have to defend in TWO MONTHS – and I’ve done NOTHING – sigh), two kids, a best friend with cancer, organzing fundraisers and benefit concerts for the best friend with cancer and my bathroom which has now been torn apart for a month with no end in sight. I suppose it will get better, but I’d like just ONE thing to be done…..
Hang in there – it’s all worth it in the end 🙂 Well, that’s what they tell me anyway – ha!
