So, remember that guy I was watching a lot of soccer with last time we caught up? Well, we make a pretty great team. Have for a long time time. I should have talked about him more. Cause he’s awesome.
And we did a thing.
A baby thing. Meet one of the reasons I fell off the face of the earth for 1.5 years –
I’m a mom! To this awesome little Nugget! And this is his awesome dad!
(We haven’t talked about whether or not we’re going to use his real name on the internet yet, so we’ll just stick with Nugget for now.)
Nugget was born Christmas Day 2014. I tried so hard not to have him on Christmas but that’s another story for another day. He’s 15 months now and the years are flying by.
He is the best thing in life. I can’t imagine our story without him. I guess that’s what all parents say though.
He certainly keeps us busy. The first year went by in a blur. It is only recently that I feel like the fog is lifting. Before now, everything else could wait. The mess. The piles. The boxes. Laying the foundation of our family was more important than any of that.
Which is how we find ourselves here; in a house bursting at the seams with stuffffffffffffffffffffff. And that’s what we’re going to talk about. So never fear, my home-dec/reno buddies – this isn’t about to turn into a mommy blog. We have projects to discuss.

He is beautiful! Congratulations! Isn’t it mind boggling to look at that first photo with the stuffed elephant and a recent one? How do they grow so much, so fast? And a big WOO HOO for baby wearing! It’s been a passion of mine since my little guy was born and I’m so glad to see someone put more visibility on it. Baby wearing for the win, always.

Wow, my baby was born December 16th, 2014. I was also worried about a Christmas birth too (though even being born so close to Christmas I felt bad). Congratulations! I’ve been checking back occasionally to see if you updated and was really shocked today to find a new post and such big news.
I’m a New Years Eve baby, so I can relate to holiday birthdays. All good; it suits him. 🙂
