Yesterday BagelPower posted about these dog beds from Molly Mutt and I had a major DUH moment {as in “why didn’t I think of that?!”}.
You fill their mesh stuff sack with old textiles {clothes, towels, pillows, blankets, etc.} that are no longer useable.
Zip it up and put a duvet cover on it.
This one is my favorite but it’d be easy enough to make one in a fabric that better matches your decor. {I’d probably still spend the $10-15 on the mesh stuff sack just to make things easy.}
Bruce always likes to sleep in our laundry anyway {or the couch or the bed or …. wherever, actually}. When things get dirty, you take it all apart & throw it in the wash! Too cool.
Luke would eat the pillow…
That is so cool. What a clever idea.
Carrie, I have commented a few times on your site. Can I just tell you what a total pleasure it is to read about your renovations everyday. Me and my fiance are also going through many of the things that you are with our home in WI, and I just recently started my own home renovation blog. I have you in my ‘must read’ list, please stop by and take a look in all your free time! ha
If I recall correctly, Bruce doesn’t just sleep on laundry; he STEALS it too!
Shall I recally the ominous underwear “incident” of 2004?
My dog tried to chew this up but isn’t able to. It’s the first dog bed I bought for him that has lasted more than a week!
