You ARE ambitious! I hope you get a lot done. I hope you have lots of people because painting goes so quick when you do. Unfortunately, when it's only a few people, it seems to take forever.

I second Sara's advice about painting trim first. It's SO much easier and lets you avoid the dreaded blue tape. I find that the tape takes as long as painting some rooms. Great idea to wait until later to actually choose colors... that's a challenge in itself. =)

Best of luck this weekend! I hope you get TONS of checkmarks!

Yeah, we might have bitten off more than we can chew but I'm ever hopeful.

I should have clarified! We're actually just planning on priming walls & trim this weekend and (maybe) getting the trim done. We're not going to actually put color on the walls until we move in and are ready to decorate. After we're in, I can focus on decorating and picking colors. Then we'll paint the walls room by room as we go.

I TOTALLY agree with you though; trim first and then walls!! Good tip.

Rather ambitious indeed! I live in WI, so I won't be coming to help you - BUT I would strongly suggest sanding, filling, priming (with BIN) and painting all the trimwork before you do the walls. It's much easier to 'cut in' the walls against the painted trim than the other way around. I do not tape when I paint, and there is just no way to paint trim after the walls are done without getting the paint on those purty walls. I did the first story of my home walls-first and really regretted it later. Maybe you are already doing this, but I just wanted to leave my 2 cents!

ps - From the looks of it, you will spend a month of weekends just prepping that place for paint! Not to be a downer or anything :)

Hey Lady
I'd love to help, but Brian has play-off softball both Saturday AND Sunday.

I know, it's ridiculous. A whole weekend of softball.
Go figure.

BUT, I promised I'd come up to help and I intend to see it through, even if it takes me all freaking summer to do it.

I'll call you ;-)
